Data controller
Rush Street Interactive, Inc., 900 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago IL 60611, decides how personal data gathered on courtoffun.com is handled. Write to privacy@courtoffun.com about anything on this page. BetRivers.net keeps its own, separate policy; this one stops at the edge of the review site.
Categories we receive
- Connection details that any browser transmits: the IP address, the user agent string naming browser and operating system, the URL asked for and a timestamp. Our host records these in logs.
- Rough geolocation, inferred from that IP down to a region or a city. We never request device GPS.
- What you type into the contact form, which only reaches us if you send the email it drafts: name, address, topic, message.
- The consent record kept in local storage on your device.
Typefaces come from the Google Fonts service. Each page view therefore exposes your IP to Google as well.
Purposes
- Keeping pages online and safe from abuse; this is necessary.
- Analytics, meaning aggregate visit statistics, and only after an opt-in.
- Marketing, meaning attribution of a click toward BetRivers.net, and only after an opt-in.
- Replying to mail.
No analytics or advertising code ships with these pages today. If any is ever added, it stays dormant until you agree.
Recipients
Our web host and mail provider act as processors under contract. With advertising switched on, affiliate and partner networks could receive the click and visit details required for attribution. Selling personal information in exchange for money is something we do not do.
Rights under the CCPA/CPRA and other US state laws
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, amended by the California Privacy Rights Act: to learn what personal information about them we have, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing used for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor a GPC browser signal as exactly that request. Comparable rights exist in a growing number of states, for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and Texas. Send requests to privacy@courtoffun.com. After confirming who you are, we answer inside 45 days, and using a right never costs you service or price.
If you visit from the EU or UK
For EU and UK visitors the GDPR applies. We rely on legitimate interests to operate the pages and on consent for analytics and marketing. You can ask for a copy, a fix, deletion, a limit on use, or a portable file; you may object; you may pull consent back whenever you like without undoing past lawful use; and you may file a complaint with whichever privacy watchdog covers where you live.
Retention
Host logs roll off after 90 days or sooner. Mail threads are kept for two years after the last reply. The consent record expires after a year, at which point the cookie bar asks once more.
Children and teens
Nobody under 18 should use courtoffun.com, and we avoid gathering anything from minors on purpose. A parent who thinks a child wrote to us can say so, and that correspondence will be erased.
